He has worked five semesters at McMurry and studied almost everything in our catalogue," Suter says.

Acrylic, a rapid drying new type of paint used by a third of today's professional painters, is the preferred paint of BenUey. The artist, an art major and French minor, is also employed by Alley Alts and Gallery here. "I consider myself more an emotional expressionist," says Bentley. "This is akin lo abstract expressionism. Monday at Cuggin Theater at Howard Payne College, featuring a cast which has exhibited quite a bit of excitement about the production. The production will continue Tuesday at 8 p.m., Wednesday at 2 p.m., and Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. General admission tickets are $1.50. Ocie Robinson, who will portray Henry 11 of England in the comedy-drama, says that the cast of "Lion" shows a greater balance than any other with which he has worked. "It's fantastic to work with a cast that is so excited about the show, and so exciting to watch," he explains.

OTHERS in the cast echo Robinson's feelings. a i Butler comments that "Lion" is the first show he's been in where he enjoys watching rehearsals even after more than four weeks of daily workouts. "It's amazing that a cast and crew would applaud after a scene they've seen so many times in rehearsal, but the and excitement within the cast prompts us to FILM RATING GUIDE For Parents and Their Children GENERAL AUDIENCES All Admittid PAftfKTAL GUIOANCI tUOOfSTID For TM RESTRICTED Under IB requires accompanying rent or Adult Guardian NO ONE UNDER 18 ADMITTED limit may vary in certain areas) MPAA DOUBLE SHOCK SHOW "COUNTESS DRACULA" AND "VAMPIRE CIRCUS" SEE ALL THE GOOD SHOWS FOR LESS MON. 6:30 P.M. Kobinson noted that the show is one of the few hn has worked in that fully emphasized the actor and the audience relationship lo the characters on stage, rather than the technical aspects of a production.

"THE SKTS arc completely de-emphasized. A a should he able to see are the characters, and the inter-relationships on audience should be able to fully relate to the people on stage, and not see all the extraneous aspects of production," he said. All cast members are united in praise of director John Bar- ton. "He has his individuality as a director, as each one does," comments Robinson. "But his style is very easy to work in; he emphasizes the actor and the script.

He respects each actor and actress, and works for us and with us. He has found a good combination between friendship and authority." Few members of the cast have been in long-running shows, either in or out of school, and the six-performance run is a new experience. The limited capacity of the theater for this show is one reason for the longer run. Another is Barton's ambition to build an audience for the HPC Theatre. "If we -offer more chances to see a show, and offer a good show to see, I believe we can build a permanent audience for the HPC Theatre," he explained.

THE CAST is anticipatory. The longer run made several weeks of dally rehearsals seem more worthwhile to many of the cast. "We won't be having an opening night and a closing night so back- to-back," said Butler. "We can get into the show, and really pour the performance have a chance to do something with the show." Tickets are now available for all performances. Reservations may be made by calling the HPC Oral Communications Department at 646-2502, ext.
