Bad luek still pursued Frank Cab aret, 18-year old Long Island sailor, Wednesday, when he was taken before Judge John Tanney, to face a charge of grand larceny In connection with the thoft of a motor boat from its wharf in Huron, and which wa-i owned by D. Sherod, Huron automobile dealer.

Cabaret, entering a plea of guilty to the boat theft, after an examination by Prosecutor C. E. Moyer during which time the youth told several conflicting stories concern Inff his adventure on the lake In the open boat, and was bound over to the grand by Judge Tanney. Bond was placed at $5,000. He was said to have stolen the boat Thursday evening from Its Huron dock.

Starting for Cleveland, he ran out of gns when but ten short miles from his starting point. Out In the lake, in a dead sea calm, Cabaret drifted for 24 hours in the stolen craft, until sighted and picked up by the freighter Qulncy A. Shaw, Cleveland-bound. Upon arrival in Cleveland, minus the small boat, which had In some unknown way gotten adrift, the boy was turned over to Cleveland police. Tho boat was later found in the lake by coast guardsmen.

SET COURT OPENING Announcement was made "Wednesday that tho Erie-co common pleas court will open its fall term Monday Sept. 8. One week later, Monday, Sept. 15, the fall term of the court of appeals will open. Judge Roy H.

Williams, Judge H. W. Lloyd, and Judge S. Richards will preside during the pelate sessions. The juries for both petit an dgrand jury duty are expected to be called within tho next two weeks, two weeks before the opening of the fall term.

Judge W. Fleslnger bas not yet set cases for hearing but indicated that he will do so some time during the next two weeks. OFFICES WILL CLOSE Several of the offices In tho court house will close Thursday at noon to allow the employes a half holiday to visit Cedar Point in the afternoon which has been designated as "Gandusky Day" at the resort. IIQLD ROAD HEARING County Commissioners will hold a hearing Thursday morning on the road that has been petitioned for by Rudolph Kugel and others in Mar- gretta-tp. The road which the petitions seek to have would extend from the Wahl- rd direct to the Sandusky Bay, it Is reported. Last week the commissioners traveled to the scene of the proposed road to view the site. Other routine business will also be conducted at the regular seml- weekly business session. Mrs. McConnell and Mrs. Osborne gave readings from leaflets pertaining to missionary work. At this meeting the mite boxes weno opened and found to contain $85.35 which will be used In the work in needed places. Mrs.
