Sister entered the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Pembroke on July 2, 1929. Left to mourn her loss are her Sisters in the Congregation; her nieces, Sister Bernice McCoy, GSIC, Sister Annetta Ryan, CSJ, Mrs. Sheila Morris and many more nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins, as well as many friends and clergy in the areas where she ministered as a teacher. She taught in Mount St.

Patrick, Barry's Bay and Killaloe early in her career. In 1951 Sister took on the responsibility of Administrator of the hospital and seniors' home in Radville, Saskatchewan for 6 years. She then returned to teaching in Chapeau, Campbell's Bay, and Pembroke. She retired from teaching in 1975 but moved to Regina, Saskatchewan, where she ministered as a geriatric nurse and pastoral worker. She came to the Motherhouse in Pembroke in 1994.

She will be fondly remembered for her faithfulness, and her genuine hospitality and love of life. Sister Catherine was born in Chapeau, Quebec, a daughter of the late John Healy and the late Mary (McKenna) Healy. She is predeceased by her sisters, Rose (Mrs. Charles Morris), Martha (Mrs. Joseph Ryan), Anna (Mrs.

Fred McCoy), Teresa (Mrs. Michael Doyle), Loretta (Mrs. Thomas Cassidy), Elizabeth, Kathleen, Alice, Clara, and brothers, James and Joseph. Visitation at St. Joseph's Motherhouse, Pembroke on Monday, September 9th after 2 p.m.
