Who's hot: The Senators ran their winning streak to a franchise-high five with Friday's 5-4 win against the Florida Panthers and are 5-1-0-1 in their past seven games and 9-2-0-1 in their past 12. Senators defenceman Wade Redden has had four goals and 10 assists in his past 12 games, while centre Alexei Yashin is on a 10-game point streak, one game shy of a career high.

He has 12 goals and six assists in those 10 games. Winger Daniel Alfreds-son is on a six-game point streak, with one goal and 13 assists in those games, while Shawn McEachern has seven goals and six assists in his past nine games. The Senators have allowed just four short-handed goals. They are 10-1-0-1 in 2000-2001 and ha ve outscored their opponents 53-33. Who's not: The Canadiens have lost all three previous games to the Senators this season, but they've been close (1-0, 4-2, 4-3).

Colin Forbes (minus-four), John Emmons (minus-two), Andreas Dackell (minus-one, and Mike Fisher (minus-three) are the only Senators in the red. The Senators got two power-play goals on eight chances against the Panthers, but are just four-for-29 over their past five games. The Canadiens are 10-21-3-1 against teams from the Eastern Conference this season. Who's missing: Ottawa Sami Salo (shoulder), Ricard Persson (broken ankle), LW Magnus Arvedson (sprained knee), LW Rob Zamuner (groin, day-today); Montreal LW Brian Savage (broken thumb), RW Jason Ward (knee), LW Gino Odjick (wrist), Francis Bouillon (sprained ankle), Jeff Hackett (right hand), RW Dainius Zubrus (concussion), LW Benoit Brunet (sprained knee ligament), LW Martin Rucinsky (sprained knee ligament), Craig Rivet (shoulder). What to expect: The Canadiens are coming off a big 4-2 win over the Capitals yesterday and will want to start a run before the All-Star Game break, but the Senators want to finish this four-game trip unbeaten.

They know they can't lose games to the league's bottom feeders and will be looking to keep their hot run going. Patrick Lalime will be in net. His next win will set a personal single-season high, bettering the 21 wins he had for the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1996-97. Next Senators game: Tuesday at the MCI Centre against the Washington Capitals, 7 p.m. No local TV.
