Condolences to www.mem.com DODS, Dalton Marcus 1929 to June 2, 2006 KENNEDY, Jeffrey Lawrence Vere chose to serve in WWII with the Royal Canadian Navy on the Escourt Frigate H.M.C.S. Carl-place until 1946 and was discharged with rank of Lieutenant (E) R.C.N.V.R. After the war he joined George Hardy General Contractors in Toronto from 1 945-1 953.

Vere then joined Perini Gener-, al Contractors Ltd. as Chief Engineer in 1953 and was appointed Vice President in 1957. In 1960 Vere founded V.K. Mason Construction Ltd. in Toronto and established offices in Ottawa, Winnipeg and Edmonton.

Some of their projects included: Son of the Late John Dods and Florence Anderson. Dalton's intense battle against Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma Cancer ended peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital Friday evening. Dalton planted many seeds of Joy in his lifetime and will continue to do so long Passed peacefully at the age of 30 to be with the Lord, on Sunday, June 4, 2006 at Kingston General Hospital, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Mclvor. the war she joined the Department of External Affairs and followed Lester Pearson into politics serving as his executive assistant and then as Pierre Elliot Trudeau's administrative assistant until her retirement in 1 979. Mary was awarded the Order of Canada in 1980. In her retirement, Mary was involved with the Salvation Army, the Branson Home, the Women's Canadian Club and the Zonta Club among others. Nan had spent seven years there among caring pleasant friendly staff and residents. She was in her 95th year. Nan was the daughter of Marian Masson and George Gordon Gale, sister of Charles Gordon Gale (deceased) and wife for 49 years of John (Jack) Cummings Charleson (deceased).

She is survived by herfour daughters Barbara, Susan Rivers (Vic), Marian Robinson (Ted) and Janice MacAulay (James). Their Nani will be sadly missed by grandchildren David and Heather Rivers, Marian, Margaret, Brigid and James MacAulay and greatgrandchildren Victor, Sam, Hannah and Ethan. Nan was an accomplished portrait painter, a gifted needlewoman, an avid reader, and loved a good game of bridge. She contributed to her community through many volunteer activities. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, a life member of the May Court Club of Ottawa, the Ottawa Little Theatre and the Royal Ottawa Golf Club, and for many years a member of the Ottawa Garden Club. Her gentle manor and grace blessed all those who knew her. He was loved by his partner Marietta, his sister Julie (Nick Bauer), his daughters Anita and Sue (John Norris), grandsons Jake and Micah, his first wife Katalin, and many, many close family. Peter lived and died with passion. He said happiness comes in different wrappings, and that the last year was a gift of love from his family and friends that made his battle with pancreatic cancer a fight worth fighting. Peter led a colorful life.

He escaped from Hungary in 1957, built an excellent life in Canada, and traveled to every part of the world in a successful career in information technology. He was full of stories, and had a brilliant and insatiably curious mind.
