Morag was a courageous survivor of many challenges and hardships, but always looked forward toward the future. She was a devoted daughter, loving and proud sister and aunt.

Born in Medicine Hat, AB, in 1951, Morag received her early schooling there. After leaving high school, she attended Medicine Hat College and worked at K-Mart until she moved to Calgary in 1980. Upon arriving in Calgary, Morag worked in accounting for Mark's Work Wearhouse until 1981 when she joined the University of Calgary. Morag was an active contributor of time and skill at St. Andrew's United Church, serving on various boards and committees.

She served many lunches following the annual Rummage Sale. It was because of her devotion to service that God blessed her with many great, life-long friends, including her "twin" Diane, Wendy, Janni, and the Healing Touch circle. Morag loved to be outdoors, walking, biking and cross-country skiing enjoying what God created. She enjoyed travelling, playing and listening to the bagpipes, and Scottish Country dancing. Morag dealt with her health problems over the last few years with humour, dignity class.

Right until the end, she amazed us all with her tenacious will to live and positive attitude. Morag is survived by her family, Neil Bell (Patricia Wagers) of Hull, QC John Alexander and Dominique; George (Leora) Bell of Medicine Hat, Reio and Lachlan; Joanne (Ron) Graham of Edmonton, AB William, Megan and Douglas; and Hazel (Holger) Bjerrisgaard of Calgary Lyall and Eric; as well as the children of Cathryn: Steven Clark, Jessica (Chris) Orr, and Elizabeth Clark (Richard Pierce) Isobel. The moment that you died, Our hearts split in two, The one side filled with memories, The other died with you. Weoften lay awake at night, When the world is fast asleep, And take a walk down memory lane, With tears upon our checks. Remembering you is casy, We do it everyday, But missing you is a heartache, That never goes away. We hold you tightly within our hearts, And there you will remain, Life has gone on without you, But it never will be the same. Forthose who still have their dads, Treat him with tender care, You will never know the emptiness, As when you turn and he is not there..
