Westinghouse Electric Supply, the only bidder to supply transformers was awarded the contract for $18,894. Council awarded a contract for the 1974 road construction program to Alstate Schuylkill at a price of $48,377. The firm of Wallace and Tienernan was awarded a contract for a new chlorina-tor, price $2727.

Showers and rain are forecast today from the western Plains to the Great Lakes and Midwest. Showers are also expected for the central Gulf. Carrie M. Detweiler. 82, of 112 Wilson Schuylkill Haven, died at 1:20 Wednesday afternoon at Pottsville Hospital where she was admitted early that morning. She was the widow of Charles S. Detweiler who died in 1961.

Mrs. Detweiler was born in Union Township, Lebanon County, daughter of the late John and Kate Rhen Deaven. She lived in Schuylkill Haven most of her life. She was a member of Christ Luther Church, Schuylkill Hose Com- pany Auxiliary, and Pottsville Hospital Auxiliary, all ot Schuylkill Haven, and the Southern Schuylkill Flower Club. Surviving are two stepsons, Dr.

Samuel Detweiler, Schuylkill Haven; Harry Detweiler, Rochester, N.Y.; one stepdaughter, Kathryn, wife of John Godshall, Roslyn; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Estella Warner, Allentown. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven. William D. James William D. James, 73, formerly of 611 Laurel died at 10:10 Wednesday morning at Rest Haven where he was a guest since June 21, 1973. Mr.

John the Baptist Church and interment will be in the parish cemetery. Mr. Pfeiffer, a native of Palo Alto, was a life member of the Citizens' Fire Company of Palo Alto. Dedication Quakake Park Held QUAKAKE Over 100 persons attended the formal dedication of the Quakake Park Tuesday. Donating the park to the Rush Township Recreation Board were Mrs.

Merle Guenther, Mrs. Margaret Steimler and Mrs. Catherine Fegley. A 'church located on the property will be turned into a recreation hall. The board announced plans tor the construction of a tennis court and the purchase of playground equipment.

The park has already been equipped with a basketball court and benches. Speaking at the dedication ceremonies was U.S. Marshal Charles Guy. Group Stages Dance Revue SAINT CLAIR The Dalinda Dance Revue was held in the Saint Clair Elementary School Auditorium. Tap and ballet were featured.

Anna Wynosky, 16 Windsor Erdenheim, a native of Minersville, died Wednesday evening at West Jersey Hospital, Doorhees, N.J. after an illness of several! weeks. She was the widow of Charles Wynosky who died 27 years ago. Mrs. Wynosky lived in Minersville most of her life and moved to Erdenheim five years ago.

She wa a member of St. Genevieve Church and a former member of St. Francis Church, Minersville. Surviving are five children, Charles, proprietor of Wynosky bottling business, Minersville; Mrs. Anna Sabol, Philadelphia; Mrs.

Hand Mrs. Hazel C. Hand. 79, of Second Street, Muir, died at 5 Wednesday afternoon at Pottsville Hospital where she was admitted May 19. Mrs.

Hand's mother. Mrs. Clara Clemmer, died in May at the age of 98. Her husband. Josiah Hand, died in 1963.

She was born in Shoemakersville and was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church there. Blyler, RD Klingerstown, died at 4 Thursday morning at her home. She had been ill seven months. Mrs. Blyler was born in Spring Glen, Aug. 10, 1915, daughter of the late Harry and Sara Rush Carl.

She attended Hubley Township High School, Sonne Glen, and was married Jan. 1, 1933. Schuylkill Haven State Police said the theft occurred between May 19 and 28. The go-cart was valued at S25; the stakes at S10. Rockwell Manufacturing Company was awarded a contract for 200 water meter, price $10,114. Council rejected bids on metering equipment for the Willow Lake Chlorine House and all bids on fire hose. These 'two items will be re-advertised and new bids opened at council's next meeting.
