The Pine Grove Area Middle School recreated Revere's ride for the Bicentennial celebration. The Pine Grove Area High School Color Guard marches to the tune of the district's high school band during the Pine Grove Bicentennial parade held Saturday afternoon.

Parade Winners (Continued from Page 6) August Bertie August Bertie, 74, of 770 McNair Hazleton, died Sunday at his home. He was born in Oneida, a son of the late August and Anna Marcinko Bertie. Smeltz William Roy Smeltz, 70, of RD1 Lykens, died Saturday evening in Pottsville Hospital. He was born March 21, 1906 at Sacramento, a son of the late Daniel and Rachael Herb Smith. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Erdman and the Klingerstown Fire Company. Surviving are his widow, the former Ver-na Wagner; two sons, Dr. Leroy Smeltz, RD1 Hegins, vocational agriculture teacher in Tri-Valley School District; Lester Smeltz of RD1 Lykens; five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs.

Meda Schmeltz, RD1 Hegins; Mrs. Edna Maurer, Lancaster; Mrs. Verna Hatter, Spring Glen; nieces and nehpews. Services will be held Wednesday morning from the Robert Miller Funeral Home, Valley View with Rev. Robert Eastlack of Klingerstown officiating.

Interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Sacramento. Frances Dodson Frances E. Dodson, of 612 N. Eighth died Monday at York Terrace Nursing Home.

She was born in a daughter of the late and Mrs. Oscar Wright. She was the wife of the late OUie Dodson. He died in 1968, Surviving are a sister Mildred wife of Rev. Herbert Outzs of Coatesville and a brother Benjamin of Coatesville.

She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist ChuVch.v Arrangements are incomplete; Lord Funeral Home is in charge. William M. Frost William M. Frost of 39 E. Center Shenandoah died Sunday at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Norristown.

Born in llengowan, he was a son of the late William and Mary Greener Frost. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Rescue Hook and Ladder Co- He was last employed as a clerk in the Commissioners office at the Schuylkill County Court House. He had also served several terms as a councilman in Shenandoah. Surviving are a daughter Shirley, wife of Robert Jones, two grandchildren, Nancy and Janet Jones, all of Norristown; two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Roth of Shenandoah, Mrs.

Elizabeth Roland of Collingswood, N. nieces and nephews. Services will be held Friday morning from the Waters Funeral Home Shenandoah, with Rev. Paul Hagenberger officiating. Interment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Mary Upanavage Mrs. Mary M. Upanavage of 313 Main Gilberton died Sunday at 4:59 p. m. in the Pottsville Hospital where she had been admitted earlier in the day.

Born and reared in Gilberton, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Katherine Grisconis Andrewscavage. She was preceded in death by her husband George in 1962 and a son George in 1959. Mrs. Upanavage was a member of Our Lady of Siluva Church, Maizeville, the Daughters of Our Lady of Siluva Church, the Third Order of St. Francis and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Gilberton American Legion.

Surviving are three daughters, Fran, a registered nurse at the Pottsville Hospital, Gere, a pharmacist at Towne Drugs, both at home, Marion, wife of Stephen Basheda of Frackville; one son, Dr. le; six grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday morning from the Nice Funeral Home, Frackville, with Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Siluva Church and internment in St. Louis Cemetery, Frackville. The floatfis just what it says as these women display their care and concern for the American Indian.
