Predeceased by his wife, Gwenyth Straughair (November 26th, 1985) whom he married in Australia in 1 944. He was a caring and devoted father to his only child Jennifer who was at his side when he passed away. WWII Navy Lt.

in the Royal Netherlands Navy, Special Services Nefis III Intelligence Unit based at Camp Columbia, Brisbane Australia, and Bata-via, Java, operating behind Japanese lines as Liaison Officer and Code Officer, for US Forces GS-2 Allied Intelligence Bureau (Distinguished Service and military decorations). Lifelong career in aviation, joining KLM in 1937 and Eastern Air Lines in 1964. He had numerous postings in Europe, the Far East, South America and Canada in 1 958, finally retiring in 1 982 in Montreal, where he continued to live in his beloved home in Rosemere. Life Member of Skal (joined in Rome, 1950) and former Montreal Rotary Club Member. A dedicated sportsman in his youth, he was named Netherlands Olympic Attache at the Montreal (1976) and Lake Placid (1980) Olympics.

After failing health at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital ol pneumonia and other complications. Private cremation followed by interment of ashes at a later date in The Netherlands. Frank will truly be missed by his many friends. Bom in Midland, Ontario, Frank fostered fond memories of his teenage years in New Liskeard, Ontario. He entered service in W.W.II as a navigator assigned to R.A.F.

Costal Command and the South African Air Force in West Africa. He continued his career in the R.C.A.F. serving in Canada, Tanzania and Europe (N. A.T.0). Retiring as a Colonel (C.A.F.) at the end of a successful and satisfying 35 year career, Frank a nd Mary settled in Ottawa for several years before moving to Tsawwassen, B.C.
