-185404 WILLIS (STAFFORD), Dorothy Vassar 78 Lower Three Fathom Harbour passed away May 23, 1999, in Dartmouth York General Hospital. Born in Manhattan, New City, she was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy Stafford. She was the beloved wife of (N) Clifford Willis Ret'd. for 55 years. Dorothy is survived by her husband, three daughters, Elizabeth V.

Watson, Forth Worth, Texas; Sera-Jane Willis, Lower Three Fathom Harbour; and her twin sister Caroline Pierce Brubaker of Brisbane, Australia; and two granddaughters, Christine Dorothy Watson and Elizabeth Katherine Doyle and a brother John Waggaman Stafford of Cincinnati, Ohio. While living in Annapolis Royal, N.S., she made a thorough study of Micmac Indians. She was a selftaught artist who painted many pictures of local scenes of the Eastern Shore, northern Ontario, and the desert southwest, which she adored. She also turned her hand to rock hounding and was a proficient lapidarist. During a period of residence in Ottawa she turned her hand to breeding particolored American Cocker Spaniels and her Nirvana Farm Kennels produced enough Champions to have her kennel name permanently registered with the Canadian Kennel Club.

In later years she excelled as an astrometerologist and was well known in the United States for her semi-annual weather predictions because of their accuracy. In the last ten years she travelled with her husband during the winter months in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona and continued her interest in visiting ancient early native habitations. At her request she will be cremated and there will will be a private family memorial at Lower Three Fathom Harbour.
