The following report was made by Dr. Willard S. Springer, physician in charge of the small-pox hospital During the past three months there i been fifty-four persons admitted.

Of this number, three did not have the disease. One of them was a hoy who came with his father because lie had no place else to go, iiis mother having died of the disease outside. Vaughn, charged with the larceny of $1.50 from a store kept hy Abram Wilberts, at Front and West streets, was given a hearing before the Mayor, last night, and held in the sum of $200 hail to answer the charge at court. Vaughn also stole a small of money from Wilbert's, when he kept store at Second and West streets. George Miller, a vagrant, was sentenced to 30 days imprisonment in the county jail. One case of drunkenness was also disposed of. William Downing, a vagrant, was this morning, sentenced to fifteen days imprisonment in the county jail.

John Matthews and Luke Delia were each fined $1 and costs for lighting in tlie street. Two men were each fined fifty cents and costs lor being found drunk. Willis A the P. The Union.
