They live with their mother and -stepfather in Nassau Bay, where Worden resides in an apartment house. James Benson Irwin almost didn't make it. Ten years ago he was so badly injured in a plane crash that he couldn't talk or even remember. He had been instructing an Air Force student pilot in a flight over the California desert near Edwards Air Force.
