Oct. Comstock is BADGER, That South Dakota, the sunshine is the general farmer's eldorado, is the theme of many a story told by returning South Dakotans, who have satisfied the desire to rove and quenched by disappointment, the longing for a better home than South Dakota affords. Two months and fourteen days ago Mr. Ribbev and family with what possessions they could load upon a large wagon drawn by a team of horses left their 160 acre farm near Garfield, Wash ington, and began their return trip overland to South Dakota. The jour ney has covered fifteen hundred and sixty-two miles. Mr.

"Tell these South Dakota farmers," Mr. Ribbey, "who are selling out to go elsewhere that they had better stay where they are. South Dakota is alright.

If I had he said, could tell you a story as long as from this office to the Milwaukee depot," and he thinks his story would convince South Dakota farmers that the best place for them is in South Dakota.
