(R). The widow of a hitman tnes to make a clean getaway from her mob family by moving to the lower east side in director Jonathan Demme's lovably loopy comedy of mob manners. Michelle Pfeiffer is a definite knock-out as the runaway widow, but Mercedes Ruehl stops the show as the jealous wife of a dapper Don from Mineola, Long Island. K.C BETRAYED. (R).

An FBI investigator falls for a handsome fanner with terrifying political views in this bold and provocative thriller by Costa-Gavras. The plot, which zeroes in on the white supremacist organizations in this country, may seem far-fetched but Debra Winger and Tom Berenger are remarkably convincing as the two lovers. K.C WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT. Va (PG) Bob Hoskins, playing your typically gruff-voiced private eye, checks out a rabbit murder suspect in a boldly inventive 40's-style detective thriller. The movie is such an amazing blend of live action and animation one can only marvel at the flawless artistry of director Robert Zeme-kis and his creative team of animators and puppeteers.

K.C. MIDNIGHT RUN. (R). They are definite opposites but Robert De Niro and Charles Grodin turn out to be a match made in heaven in this hilarious, surprisingly poignant buddy movie. De Niro is electrifying as the raging bull of a bounty hunter while Grodin's facial reactions as a bail-jumping accountant, who wanted by the mob and the FBI, are a delight to behold.

BIG. (PG). Can a typical fun-loving 13-year-old, who's temporarily trapped in the body of a 30-year-old, make it in the grown-up world? You bet he can for it's definitely a boy world in this wonderfully engaging comedy which succeeds largely because of Tom Hanks' irresistibly funny performance as the over-grown adolescent K.C. A one-time baseball player relives his past after being asked to dispose of the ashes of his best friend, a wayward WASP princess. Such a task is obviously painful, but one would never know it from watching Mark curiously detached performance in this wistful, all too sketchy mov- COMING TO AMERICA. Murphy, the clown prince of Hollywood, displays regal calm as an overly pampered African prince who jets to Queens, New York to search for a wife who'll talk back to him.
