There can be no question as to the idea the famous artist intended to put across.

The picture shows the typical American family out for an afternoon or evening spin in a Ford roadster. On a steep hill a larger, higher-priced car is attempting to pass the smaller, less costly roadster and the Ford climbs steadily up the hill, ahead of the other.
