Gendron, who celebrates his 38th birthday today, signed with Les Nordiques after earlier announcing he planned to retire from hockey. He played last season with Philadelphia of the NHL. "I decided to retire because for the last two winters I've been too far away from my family," Gendron said. "For this reason, Les NordjqueS were the only team I was interested in." 3 for early training. The meet being held near Prague, will see the individual competition on Sept. 14 with the relays on Sept. 16. On the home front, the club announced it will host the Quebec championships for the sixth consecutive year in the Gatineau.
