Roads and highways in t. Joseph county to be improved were designated Monday afternoon at an informal meeting of thj county commissioners and county councilmen. The roads in the townships and county were divided into two classes, known as class one county, class two county, class one township and class two township.

It was decided that all roads in the township and county coming under the class one classification would be the first roads to be recommended for reconstruction and improvement, while those under classification number two will not be considered until all of the class one roads in both the township and county are first improved. The system of classification of the roads was arrived at by the members of the, committee only after a nunvbt of petitions for the va-lious roads were presented by tho interested parties. The designation of the roads to be improved came as a result of the trip taken over the roads of the county by the members of the county commission and the county council last Friday. The trip busted all day and nearly every road and highway in the county was carefully studied by the men making the trip.
