Andrew and St. John in Jonquiere (Kenogami), Quebec. Reverend Ronald Smith officiated. He was assisted by Father John Armour, Ruby Wahl and organist Sheila McLaren. George, a Hong Kong veteran, died in hospital in Jonquiere on May 23, 1994 at the age of 87.

He was born in Grandmere, Quebec, the son of John and Mary (Broadhead) Shaw. He is survived by a sister, Nellie Kerr, of Lachine, Quebec; 1 1 nieces and nephews, several great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews and his very good friends Jacques and Lise Desgagne. George was predeceased by his parents; one brother, Frank Shaw; three sisters -Hilda Booth, Dora Horton and Daisy Shaw. His ashes were interred May 27, 1 994 in the Protestant cemetery in Jonquiere (Kenogami), Quebec. Donations may be made to the Victorian Order of Nurses, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, St.
