Graduated from the University of Ottawa Medical School, 1955. Did his post graduate training in neurosurgery at the University of California in San Francisco. Was a clinical professor and also in private practice. Was a member of the American Board of Neurosurgeons. Survived by his loving wife Shirley who lives in Washington, D.C.

and a son Geoff and daughter-in-law Brenda who live in Maple Ridge, B.C., daughter Chris of Mill Valley, California. Brother of Kay Thomson in Victoria, B.C. as well as cousins in B.C., Winnipeg and Toronto. A memorial gathering will be held in Mill Valley, California on Friday, January 7. He enjoyed a distinguished career in the R.C.A.F. as a pilot during the Second World War. Rising to the rank of Air Marshal, Chief of Technical Services for the Unified Forces before retiring in 1 967 to become General Manager of Canada Patents and Development a Crown Corporation. His service decorations include officer of the Order of the British Empire and mention in dispatches for his services during the Second World War.
