The Fonthill, veteran fired a one-over-par 75 Monday in first-round Qualifying play to take the lead over Marilyn 'Kamfoops, B.C., JocelyBe Bourassa of Shawinigan, and Gail Borthwick of Ancaster, Ont. Mrs. who has also captured the open seven times, breezed In with a par 37 on the front nine and then went one-over-par on the back nine of the Kanawaki Golf Club. Stock Points Title At Stoke Wednesday The stock car racing points championship will be decided Wednesday night at the Capital City Speedway.

And at least three drivers have a chance to take the title. Out in front is Doa Mc-Tavish of Stillwater Mass. with 235 points. But right on his bumper is Lee Osborne of Rochester Y. with 228 and then Roy Makinson of Ottawa with 210.

And since there is a possible 28V2 points up for grabs, either Osborne or Makinson could win the championship. Gerry Cooke of Rome N.Y. is in fourth spot with 1944 points, but out of the battle.
