KKNliHE OF TUB birilATKKV. Condition of the Patient A Talb tlio fbysielnna. with Washington, Sept 4 Dr Blifs, in conversation with an Associated Press rep rter ti nigL', said the Freiident was doirg very nicely. The morning bulletin which men tioned that the President had vomited twice during Saturday eight created considerable apprehension throng hout the city and numer ous inquiries were made at the mansion as to tbe caute of it. Tbe attending surgeons ex plained that the vomiting was occasioned by the collection "of phlegm in the throat, and that no eerif.us consequences were expected to follow.

The first disturbance of thestoruich occurred about ten o'clock, hut it was not noticed as being of importance, but when it occurred a second time about two a it wis at first considered to be vary unfavorable. Soon afte the tec )nd occurrence, however, the pa tient ssked for at was given a quantity of milk poriidge, wh'c'j be retained without dif ficulty. Not long after lakirg tbin he partook of some squirrel broth, which he relished President reported daring the morning that the glandular affec'ion was decreasing rapidly, and tbat the wound wen diechargicg a trifle more free'y tbao it bad been recently. It appears that as thn diecharge from (be gland ceae es ihe flow of pus from the wound increases. No noticeable change in the character of the wound his yet taken plnce, Dr Boynton, during the course cf an interview today, expressed the opinion tbat the President, notwithstanding tbe gastric disturbance which he experienced during the night, was somewhat jetler than yesterday.

Speaking about the accommoda'ioca at Long Branch tbe doo t5r eaid it would probably be necessary to have two or three cottsgee to accommodate the patient, and those wbo Would have to accom my bim. It is understood to be the inten tion lo have a guard around tbe patient's and admittance to tbe neighborhood of the President's family will only be allowed to such persons as may hold passes. Dr Boynton does not a tribute any particular importance to the fact of the President baviog vomited last night inasmuch as be has bean taking nourishment as usual ever since without difficulty. The doctor rays it may be co aidered a natural consequence, and as it was due solely to secretion of phlegm it will not materially change tbe President's general condition. He bas been doing very well since the Tomitinj; occurred.

is said by those in 1 timate with the family tbat Mrs Garfield is much pleased with the idea of the President being from the influences of Ihe malarious atmosphere which surrounds tbeWbite House to a more healthy locality, It is generally conceded by three acquainted with the facts that Ihe President will be removed between to morrow and Wednesday providing no set back occurs, and he remain in as good a condition ai be is at present and the weather is favorable. Dr. Reyburn, in conversation with a representative of the Associated Press this afternoon said the patient was as well as could be reasonably expect ad. Tbe vomiting which occurred last night had entailed no unfavorable results. Tbere hai been more or less trouble at different times from tbe eecretion of ph'egm in throat, but no particular importance bad been attached thereto because the occurrences did not in any guious way effect Ihe stomach.

In reply to a question to when Ibe President would probably be moved, Dr Reyburn said be thought not before Wednesday, and that the earliest opportunity would be taken advantage of. LATEST NEWS FROM THE WHITE HOUSE, Tne fart ihnt fiat unlays have, as a general rule, been unfavorable days tot the President appreheppions in the micds of many persine in corti'iion on that day. All hough the President was somewhat reitless, which caused higher pulse, the dispatches show that after midnight ha fell asleep and retted comfortably, and yesterday evening was quite as well us at the same time on the previous day.

These who believe in the periodicity of the recurrence of these favorable symptoms are now probably satis fied thai there is no epsc'sl durgcr to be apprehended on this sccra. It is alto something that there is no sensible diminution in the Strang! of the patient sufferer; that (here baa baen only a slight recurrence of the vomiting and nausea which showed the failure of the to do its part towards repairing the wastes of disease, aod that the delirium which accompanied (he fever has entirely disap peired, or is ocly evanescent and temporary in its character. DlioriMloi or tn Mutter by Ihe cabinet IrittormlDatlou Mut to Broach ibe annject to tba Pre.ide.ut Now. Washington, Sept. 3 At a conference of Ibe Cabinet, held yesterday afternoon, the question or Ibe inability or the President and the transfer of the Execu'ive office to the Vice President was informally discussed.

The members of the Cabinet ere reticent as to the tone and ex'ent of Ibe discussion, and posi tively decline to say anything whatever unon the subject. There is good reason for slating, however, that no decision was reached, and sr. mere is not the rceno'et likelihood tbat anything will be tempted in this direction oy the Cabinet, enber individually or collec tively. It is believed that Secretaries Blaine. Hunt and L'ncoln loclit to the.

Postmaster General James, and Secretaries Windom and Kirkwood are of opinion that there can bn no temporary disability of (be President. Dar ing the conference tbe condition of public bus iness in tbe several departments was explained by tbe respective chiefs, and it was ascertained that there is no business of a pressing or im portant character requiring the immediate action of tbe Pretlden'; and further, that what ever executive business there may be requiring Ibe President's action, cculdbe readily disposed of by bim at the present time, if it should be deemed advistble to lay it before him. 1 earner Is Dar, Indicatiom'ar tht Middle Atlantic Statu: Fair wheather, toutherly vrindt, elalionary, followed by falling barometer, stationary or higher tempetaturt. It is the forlorn hope in his treatment. At the consultation Dr Frank Hamilton said: "He will die if he remains; there is a chance if he is taken away." Any one who has followed Ihe treatment of the President'i cue and the vitiations of his maladies can see how desperate Ihe alternative is. The President is so weak that he can hardly turn bis head on tbe pillow, and since Monday he bas not gained one particle of strength. Today the physicians decide that he baa inhaled the malarial prisons, which now add their virulency to Ihe irrepressible pyaemia poisons in tbe blood. Gen. Carr and Two Companies; of Cavalry Reported Killed la Arl oua The BeglantBK ol a Bloody War. Disoonnectad and unsatisfactory as Ihe die patches from Ar'ina are, it may nevertheless be stated that oar troops have again suffered severely at the hsnds of tbe Indians. General Cur was stationed at Fort Apache with two oompanies of the Sixth United State cavalry, On Wednesday last it seems Lieutenant Cruse was ordered to arrest one of Ihe medicine men of the Waits Mountain Apaches. The offender resisted and shot Cruse.

Then the company which commanded shot and killed tbe medicine man. In immediate re taliation the Indians, led by some of Ibe Io diao scouts (probably in the pay of the United States government), are reported to have literally massacred the entire whits garrison, in cluding seven officers and upward of saventy men. It is also slated that Fort Apache, where Mrs. Carr and other hdies had quar ters, was subsequently captured by the Ia diaas. This report, however, is not con firmed, though what was to prevect the captors of tba fort is not stated, If the soldiers were all killed.
