McCann was employed by the Federal Government as a confidential printer with the Civil Service Commission until his retirement. Mr. McCann was an avid sportsman and played with the Ottawa Roughriders before WW he also played baseball, hockey, lacrosse, lawn bowling and curled in his latter years.
