John D. 8'reet, a resident of Furnace street, BirdsboTO, died at early hour on Saturday morning of dropsy and a canoe rone affection. Deceased had been living; in Birdsboro for abont two years, but for a greater part of the time was confined to the house, suffering great pain. He leaves a wife and seven children, several of whom are married, tbe youngest being about ix years of age. He at one time was leader of S'.

Keim, and wife, returned lnme on Saturday evening from the sea shore. Thev were guests in the Parry House, Beech Haven, N. which was destroyed by fire, and oocupied rooms on the third floor, Borne 75 or 80 feet from the only stairway. The rooma were in that portion of the hotel in which the fire originated. and they succeeded in escaping from the burning building, just in time to see, en looking back, the wing which they had left a moment before in a light blaza.
