Within the past few days a well kept secret has come to light, much to the entertainment of the friends of the two well known young people who are the principals in the pretty secret.- It now transpires that while Miss Lucy Clewell, the charming daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Clewell of the East End a popular young sales lady at the Trade Palace, was on a visit to friends in the east last winter, she was met there by Mr. Herbert E. Meginnis the well known young .clerk at the Pan Handle shops and the suit he had long made to the hand and heart of the fair maiden was consummated in a legal contract binding them in the holy bonds of wedlock. Ben then returned home aad was in due course of time followed by his bride, but the secret of their marriage was so well maintained that not even their own people knew aught of it until lately when a change in Mr. Me.ginnis' home made it convenient for him to acknowledge and claim Che fair bride whom he had romanticly gained several months ago. The happy young couple are now living with the parents of the bride on Spear street and the announcement of their marriage is greeted by hosts of well wishes and congratulations from their many friends in the city. They are a worthy and pleasant young couple and deserve prosperity and happiness both of which will no doubt attend them in a large degree. The Journal joins in the general congratulations and wishes the young couple a happy life together.
