Gordon Greer was a Nepean Township dairy farmer. He was president of the Ontario Whole Milk Producers' League and for many years president of the Ottawa Valley Milk Producers' Association, three times president of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture, a vice president of the Canadian Federation of Agriculture and president of the Co-Operators Insurance Association. He was a Legionnaire and past president of the City View Kiwanis Club. In 1967 Gordon Greer was awarded the Centennial Medal for valued services to the nation. A Memorial Service will be held in Ottawa in the Spring, followed by burial in the Merivale United Church Cemetery.
