Every dramatic season brings around the old drum nnd every your a new audience is on hand to greet Undo Tom and Kv, to see the slave mart, to laugh at Topsy. and to witness tho discomfiture of lawyer "Murks and the slave drivers. Manager Uotthold's company, who gave the perform ance last evening, are unusuany wuu equippeu for the work. The characters are well taken and the many telling: scenes well brought out. Special scenery was used and "Uncle Toin" was as much enjoyed as ever.

There will be a matinee this afternoon and the final performance this evening. The Wilbur Opera Company will appear for six evenings and matinees Wednesday and Saturday, commencing Monday evening in Strauss' "Merry War." The prima donna is Miss Susie Kirwin, of Philadelphia. She first appeared in Mrs. Drew's Arch Street Theatre, then at the Union Square Theatre, New then traveling with Hartley Campbell's dramatic company. From childhood she evinced musical ability, and In 1871 Manager Wilbur engaged her as prima donna in his well known opera company.

She is a conscientious, painstaking artiste, who has won an enviable reputation by sheer force of merit. She is ably assisted by J. E. Conly and a capable company of 40 persons, who will present a repertoire of operas in every respect worthy the patronage of the public, and large audiences are assured. The diagram for the four operas will open this morning.

Grand Opera Home. Casper the Ybdler, drew a large audience last evening. The romantic and pathetic features of the play were well brought out by an excellent company; the contrasting lights and shadows which abound in almost every scene held the attention of the house throughout. Mr. Chas.

T. Ellis, the versatile actor, shone in his part of "Casper;" he is a ringing Yodler, and a great favorite with his audiences. There will be a souvenir matinee this afternoon at 2.30, when toys and music will be given away, and a concluding performance in the evening. The settings and scenery were excellent. A Double Bill.

Beginning on Monday, Daniel A. Kelly, supported by his own Front Street (Baltimore, Md.) stock company, will play a week's engagement at the Orund Opera House, uppearingiu the thrilling melodrama entitled "The Shadow Detective," and tho sen sutioual play, "Seven Years After." Abaudoiied. In order to be in a position to handle comfortably the immense travel to Philadelphia next week on account of the celebration of the Constitutional Centennial, the Pennsylvania Railroad Company has decided to abandon the special excursion to Luray and Gettysburg on Thursday next, the 15th inst. In order to meet the demands of a nnmber of people who desire to visit these famous resorts during the early autumn, these tours will be run on the following Thursdays viz, Septem ber iza and z'JLh, and October bth. Letters of administration on the c3tate of Charles M. Mull, this city.were granted yesterday to Elizabeth Mull, the widow; also, upon the estate of Elenora D. Glaer, dee'd, of this city, to George J. Heilig. Letters testamentary upon the estate of Catharine Good hart, dee'd, of this city, were granted to Chas.

Y. Levan and Emma Goodhart. Register Strmik, after hearing the testimony and argument of counsel, declined to admit to probate the will of the late Mrs. Hannah Johnston, and letters testamentary will bo granted to the four children of deceased. Nearly all the eighty six registry assessors of the county made their return yesterday and were paid by the County Treasurer at the rate of ff2 per day for the time employed.
