About forty names wcro immediately subscribed, and a permanent organization formed by electing V. T. Harris, President, John Birkhead, Vice President, and Dr. A. W.

Charles. Tte Hock Itoad illeeling, at the Town Hall, in this place, last Saturday, was fairly represented by enterprising citizens of Troy nnd vicinity, and a re-pectab1o delegation of men of wealth from Wright City. Some five or six thousand dollars wcro signed, a portion of it, howovcr, on certain conditions. Wright City, wc understand, has Bub-scribed six thousand dollars toward tho enterpriso, making a total of near twelve thousand. To construct a rock road to Wright City will require at least 830,000, or $2,500 to the mile.

All will admit that a good rock road is needed to connect with the railroad but when two routes so closo together as the ones to Wright City and Wcntzvillo aro eagerly sought to be established by the peoplo of each route, wo havo some fear that neither will bo accomplished. We expected a report of the meeting tfrom tho Secretary, but he failed to favor lis with such a document. Heavy Brown and Bleached Domestics at greatly reduced priocs at liright's.
