Interment, Fairview Cemetery, Morrisburg. OLSSON, Group Captain Charles L. DFC, CD. At Ottawa on December 31, 1986, in his 73rd year. He joined the R.A.F.

In January 1936, was shot down over Germany in 1942 and was a prisoner of War until the War's end. Group Captain Olsson transferred to the R.C.A.F. in July 1945 and retired in 1965. He is survived by his wife Sasha, daughters Angela Hamlen and her husband Jim; Mary Grace and her husband Ronald, both of Thornhill; Gaye Flower and her husband Chris of Nepean. Born in LaSalle, Ontario, son of the late Arsene Dufour and of the late Josephine Pratte. He entered the Order of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate in 1927 and was ordained priest in Ottawa in 1933.

He was professor of Physics, Economics and Philosophy at the University of Ottawa from 1934 to 1968, with two leaves of absence: he was chaplain in the Canadian Army during the Second World War from 1941 to 1945 and from 1950 to 1965. Since 1968, he was retired at Assumption House. Survived by nephews and nieces. Visitation at Racine, Robert and Gauthier, Funeral Directors, 260 Besserer Ottawa, from 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 4.
