they came home together. Last Sunday, they had din ner with Frank's parents, Frank and Rita Oropeza of 22 Chicago Way, and Betty, whom Frank married just after Christmas last year. It was the last time they came home. Friday night both boys died the crash of a chartered airliner, with 80 other soldiers, most of them, like Tom and Frank, bound for paratrooper jump school at Ft. Benning, Ga.

Yesterday, the parents met to consider the possibility of holding a military service for both boys together. Monterey Co. Supervisor Dies at 58 Soeciat to The Examiner KING CITY Harold G. Henry, a Monterey County supervisor for the last 7'2 years, died at his home here Saturday night after a day of campaigning for a third term. He was 58.

A native of King City, he was a former mayor of the town. Mr. Henry, a bean broker, was a supervisor represent ing the Salinas Valley and Southern Monterey County-area. He is survived by his wife, Alice, and a daughter, Doris, of Santa Maria.

BUT BEFORE surgeons started the operation, his heart stopped. Surgeons opened his chest and by massage succeeded in starting the heart beat again. Mr. McLaughlin appeared to respond favorably to the surgery, but he died at p.m. without regaining consciousness, He was born in the Mission District, the son on an undertaker.

He attended Sacred Heart High School and the University of San Francisco, and he also studied dentistry. He wored first for the Call- Bulletin, then International News Photos, and later joined the San Francisco Chronicle in 1936. DURING WORLD WAR II, he spent 21 months in China as a broadcaster and photog- ranhpr fnr flip Office of War Information, returning to the 1 Chronicle after the war. Mr. McLaughlin was past' president of the San Francis-; co-Oakland Press Photogra-! phers Association and thei National Press Photogra- phers Association.

He won the NPPA's! Sprague Award for outstanding service to press photography, and many other awards. He is survived by his wife, Virginia of Millbrae; three daughters, Linda Payne of St. Louis, Bonnie Jean and Kathleen Denise; two grandchildren; several sisters and a brother. Funeral services will be announced later. Marin Youth Killed as Car Skids Frank Paul Franklin, 18, was killed yesterday when his borrowed car skidded off Sir Francis Drake Boulevard near Woodacre and wrapped itself around a tree.

Franklin, a student at Sir Francis Drake High School, was the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Beryle Franklin of 101 Cascade Fairfax. The accident occurred at 3:25 a.m. at the foot of White's Hill.

Assistant Coroner William C. Bradley said young Franklin was driving east on Sir Francis Drake at a high rate of speed, failed to make a curve, plunged into a ditch and smashed into the tree. S. F. Driver Killed on Waldo Hill A San Francisco man was killed last night when his small foreign car struck the dividing strip on the Waldo Grade and rolled over, throw ing him on the road.

Highway Patrol officers said Albert Vigil. 25, of 1252 Church was dead when an ambulance brought him to Marin General Hospital.
