He is presently employed by the Ottawa Board of Education as a teacher to both French and English chil dren at the Royal Ottawa Hospi tal. Mr. PouUn has been involved in dw treannenr. of emotionally, disturbed children since 1961 He is the oldest son of Jose Aime Poulin, professor at the College Technique d' Amos and Mane-Jeanne (Lauziere) Pou Apart from two years at the College Sacre Coeur in Ottawa, Bemie lived in Windsor during his childhood. He was brought up with eight brothers and sis ters In 1963 Mr.

Poulin enrolled at the University of Ottawa's bilin gual teachers college. He also obtained a part-time job as tu tor to the son of a Brazilian bassador. Poulin to come to Ottawa as head of child care in residence. Because there were no educational facil ities for French-speaking children with emotional problems, the Ottawa Conseil des coles Separees were grateful to obtain Mr. Poulin's services as a teacher. Poulin gave his first one-man show at the Sandy Hill Gallery. The Ontario department ot education has drawn on his. specialized abilities and his coun selling has been given to volun teers at Ottawa's Juvenile and family court In 1970 be began summer lec tures relating to teaching and treatment of disturbed children with the faculty of education at the University of Ottawa. Mr. PouUn has been a foster parent for almost five years.

In 1969 he was called to the execu tive of the Ottawa and District Foster Parents Association as public relations chairman and as liaison with the board of directors of the Children's Aid Society. Mr. Poulin Is an avid photo grapher and-plays piano and guitar. He bom exhibits and teaches art at Gallery 5. He says he would like to see the day when professional will play me role of objective counsellors to a public that will be allowed to accept, its full share of care and responsibilities to wards its children.
