No sweat. The networks this year have housed themselves in some 90 trailers, mobile units and vans, 30 for each network. Most are parked in Trailer City, abutting Convention Hall; some are parked inside adjacent South Hall. For instance, NBC's intricate, multi-million dollar master control rooms consist of two mobile units interlocked with three vans.

The whole shebang is on wheels. It operates as efficiently as Master Control at Rockefeller Center. The moth-balling process is easy. Lock the trailer doors, post guards and pay between-conventions park-ing and storage fees amounting to about $60,000 per network. TV Movies Tonight 6:30 p.m.

Buckley pitted against Gore Vidal in nightly calfights at the '68 conventions, is this year debating John Kenneth Galbraith on the "Today" morning show. The chemistry is muddy. Buckley is cerebral and witty. Galbraith is cerebral and biand. Buckley, forsooth, is a poet.

Galbraith is a pedant. The confrontations generally do not measure up to Buckley's regular "Firing Line" series. David Brinkley and John Chancellor enjoyed TV's biggest, broadest view of the convention. They worked behind a glass window, 25 feet long, eight feet high, one-half inch thick, directly above the convention floor.
