About 10 o'clock Mr, Reed went to the barn and locked up for the night Everything alright then. In about an hour he was startled by the cries of some person as if in great agony. He hurriedly dressed himself and started for tbe place from where the cries came. As soon as he opened his door be saw his barn ablaze. He ran to the barn to try to save Bed Back, a stallion, valued it 11,500.

The Barnes drove him back, and be was unable to enter his'barn. Tbere are many who believe that tome unfortunate tramp's spirit went up in the smoke of the burning building. A suspicion looking person seen around the barn in tbe early part of the evening, and the cries of a man being beard, all give color to this belief. Besides an old pair of shoes partly burned ind a jack-knife were in the ruins. CHheri believe that the barn was set on fire, and that the stallion, Bed Buck, was never burned, but stolen, and the barn deitroyed to hide their guilt.

The loss will be about 13,500. HAM OA1L CLARK CALLED BOWS. This morning was the time set for Prank Clark's trial. Strange to say 9 attorney, E.E. Hull, failed to appear bile waiting and hoping for Mr nil's appearance Clark became involv- In an argument with Col.
