King every Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m. Gettysburg Women's General League of Gettysburg College Convention will be held on Nov. 8 in Bura Hall, College Campus. Registration begins 9:30 a.m.

Arnold, 52, of 56 S. 47th died Friday, Oct. 18, in the HarrisburgHospital. She was the wife of John H.E. Arnold.

Born in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late John S. Weiser and Pauline Starner Weiser. She was an employee of Hughes- Patwil Corp. of Harrisburg. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church and the church choir.

She was also a member of Lawnton Fire Company Auxiliary, Swatara Township 7th Ward Judge of Election; and secretary of the Conrad Weiser Family Association. In addition to her mother, she is survived by three sons, John H.E. Arnold Jr. of Enhaut, Jeffrey S. Arnold and James E.

Arnold, both at home; two brothers, Lynn G. Weiser of Rancho Palos Verdes, and Douglas J. Weiser of Lawnton; and one granddaughter. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Fackler-Wiedeman Funeral Home, 23rd and Deny streets, Harrisburg, with her pastor, the Rev.

Dr. Leon O. Hynson officiating. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville. Friends may call Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Bortner Myrtle V. Bortner, 85, of Hanover, died Sunday, Oct. 20, at Hanover Hall. She was the wife of Richard Bortner. Born in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late William Trone and the late Mary Richrode.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mary Catherine Wildasin of Hanover and Mrs. Betty Topper of New Oxford; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from Wetzels Funeral Home 549 Carlisle Hanover, with the Rev.

Cookerly Jr. Fred S. Cookerly 76, formerly of New Cumberland, of Hampton. He was the husband of Jean Hoover Cookerly. Born in New Cumberland, he was the son of Fred S.

and Josephine V. Bayless Cookerly. Mr. Cookerly was a life member of the Harrisburg Republican Club and Hampton Fire Company; a member of the Adams County Firearms Association and the East Berlin VFW Post 8896. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II.

He was a former owner of Cook- Town Tavern in New Cumberland and the Hampton Hotel and Franklin House of Hanover. He is survived by five sons, Fred Cooke'rly and Thomas Cookerly, both of Hanover, J. Patrick Cookerly and John Cookerly, both of Hampton and Michael Cookerly of East Berlin; two daughters, Donna Oberlander of Hampton and Debra Quibell, with whom he lived, of Bensalem; a sister, Jane Stick of Fort Pierce, 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Stone Murray Funeral Home, 408 Third New Cumberland, with the Rev.

William C. Butts officiating. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in New Cumberland. Memorial contributions may be sent to the local Hospice or the VFW Post 8896 in East Berlin, Pa. 17316.

Charles E. Dubbs Charles E. Dubbs, 79, of Hanover, died Sunday, Oct. 20, at Harrisburg Hospital. He was the husband of Marie Null.

Born in Hanover, he was the son of the late Emory and the late Catherine Schneider. Mr. Dubbs was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jean Keller of Hanover and Mrs.

Connie Messinger of Hanover; two sons, Charles Dubbs Jr. of Hanover and Ronald Dubbs of York; two brothers, Earl Dubbs of York and Clyde Dubbs of Boca Raton, one sister, Mrs. Irene Corbin of Moose Haven, 12 grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Wetzels Funeral Home, 549 Carlisle Hanover, with the Rev.

Carroll Luckenbaugh officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Rita M.

Frey Rita M. Frey, 73, of 660 Baer Hanover, died Saturday, Oct. 19, at Hanover General Hospital. She was the wife of Glenn B. Frey.

Born in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Robert W. and Estella S. Bamhart Krichten. She graduated from Eichelberger High School and Gettysburg College. She did post graduate work at Shippensburg State Teachers College, University of Virginia, American University, and received her Masters from Georgetown University.

Mrs. Frey taught at North Carroll High School, Spring Grove High School, St. Joseph's College Hospitals Gettysburg Hospital Visiting hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

Mrs. Frey was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hanover, past president of the NNCW, a member of the Altar Rosary Society, and the church choir for a number of years. She also served as a lector, and Lay minister, and taught CCD. She was also a member of the Hanover council of churches and served on the Ecumenical' Council of the Harrisburg Diocese.

Mrs. Frey was a member and past board of directors member of the YWCA. She served on the Zoning Board of Penn Township, and was a member of KIT, and the local and national AARP. She was predeceased by a son, David R. Frey.

She is survived by one son, Daniel M. Frey of Hanover; one daughter, Beth D. Pugliese of Hanover; one sister, Elizabeth Poist of Hanover; and four grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 8 p.m. at St.

Joseph Catholic Church, Grandview Road. The celebrant will be Rev. Monsignor Robert C. Gribbin assisted by the Rev. Louis P.

Ogden, the Rev. Robert Yohe, the Rev. Phillip Burger, the Rev. Eric Wogen, and the Rev. Frederick Stevenson.

Interment will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery in Hanover. Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.

King Abbottstown, died Saturday evening, Oct. 19, at Hanover General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Carolyn Ensslen Landis. Born in York, he was the son of the late Henry E. Landis Sr.

Rickrode, 92, 82 Patrick Littlestown, died Saturday afternoon, Oct. 19, at his home. He was the husband of Bernadine Mary Stavely Rickrode. They would have been married 69 years next month. Born in New Oxford, he was the 1 son of the late Joseph and Emma Cline Rickrode.

Mr. Rickrode was retired from the Windsor Shoe Company of Littlestown. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Littlestown, Alpha Fire Company of Littlestown of which he was a former captain of the fire police; and a chartered member of the Littlestown Fraternal Order of Eagles. He is survived by one son, Joseph E.

Rickrode of East Tawas, one sister, Nadine Toal of Hanover; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, meeting at Littles Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. to proceed to Saint Aloysius where a Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Celebrant will be Monsignor William R. Lyons.

Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at Littles Funeral Home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. where prayers will be recited at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be sent 'to Saint Aloysius Catholic Church, South Queen Street, Littlestown, Pa. 17340.

Funeral Hilda Lorraine Hewitt Funeral services for Mrs. Hilda Lorraine Hewitt, 75, of Waynesbor- 0 Pike, Emmitsburg, who died Wednesday, Oct. 16, at her residence, were held Saturday, Oct. 19, from the Skiles Funeral Home in Emmitsburg, with her pastor, the Rev. Larry Eby officiating.

Interment will be in Emmitsburg Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were sons, Ronald Hewitt, David Hewitt, Colin Jim Hewitt, Kerry Hewitt and Jay Hewitt, and grandson, Rod Hewitt.
