(Juliette in Trinity M. E. Church, Cincinnati, Last Night. Rev. Dr.

C. W. CJnllette preached the lirnt of a spries of sermons last night in Trinity M. K. church Cincinnati, on the general topic of "Heaven," hie particular topic being.

"Where is HeavenV In substance Dr. Gullette said: Up the -Orinoco River sailed Raleigh in search of El Dorado, the land of gold, but his tars caught no eight of the golden shores. Hiawatha leaped into his birch canoe and called westward to tind the Isles of the Blessed, but Magellan's ships passed westward round the globe and saw not tho happy islands. Homer sings of Ulysses, who sailed under the earth into Hades, but, alas! it was only a poet's vision. Men have dreamed of the golden islands in the sea of eternity where on a golden strand ablaze with golden flowers a golden city lifts its towers to a golden aky.

It is then only what Browing calls "The unknown shelter by nudreanied of shores." It is true we cannot fix the latitude and longitude of heaven, but we do know that it ia not a mythical place. No city earth is so real as this city of God. here is a theory that heaven is a orld within this world. As air pene- all substances event the granite an ethereal world penetrates this material world. As light passes hrough and floods the air so the spirit- al Hows around and through this nysical world.

We do not see them ny more than we see the electricity lat carries the message along the ires, but angels and departed saints Hde about us day and night. By some is thought that heaven is this earth iade new. Earth is to be one fragrant den of Mowers and fruits. So Virgil turns poetry into prophecy nd describes the time when iron age nds and the age of gold begins. Then le blushing grape shall grow on the ude bramble and the flocks of sheep esemble flower gardens, their fleeces eing of different colors, crimson, yel- nv and purple.

According to another leory this earth is to be destroyed nd a new world created to be the ome of the saints. After a catis- that shall turn the world upside own firs fiends shall apply torches in ij-riads of places. The seas s-hall laz? like pools of oil, the dust fhall ash like powder and the rocks burn ke tinder. Then a new world shall ike its place, fairer than dreams and more beautiful than visions. Still anther theory is that as the saint devel- ps his powers he is transferred from lanet to planet, from star to star, and pystem to system.

The last the- ry and the ones that Eeems most pro- able is that heaven is located in the enter of the universe. The moon re- elves about the earth, the earth about ie sun, ami the sun is moving toward constellation Hercules at the rate eight miles per se'cond, lat is twenty times faster than rifle ball flies. Our sun ia thus ruov- ng about some center of its own and of all s'ara. The stars in the Great Mpper are each moving with a differ- nt velocity and it may be in a differ- nt direction and sooner or later the ipper will be broken and its fragments cattered in the heavens. Now while verything in the skies is in motion liere must be some center about which revolve.

That center ia what the criptures call the heaven of heaven, his, we believe, is what God means when he says'. "Heaven is my throne." All the tin- lonnted galaxies of golden fire that il uminate the deserts of space are hold iy leashea of light in tho bands of oin- lipotence, and do but circle about his hrone. Two suns, one rising aa the jther sets, would give endless day on and myriads of suns far enough away to chasten their light make itpos ible to say of heaven: "There is no night there. Heaven is God's capita city, and is located in' the center of his lominions. REPORTED MISSING Old and Feeble and Strayed From in Progress.
