PHEblDEJTT Corps of Teachers ta Be Selected at June Meeting-No Changes in Personnel Probable The new city board of education met Tuesday evening and effected an organization by the election of John Hetlh Jr. as chairman. Mr. Reith Is the only member who lias had experience, he having been a member of the old board.

It is non-partisan board nnd was elected practically without any opposition. Mr. Reith is a Republican, but on a division on party lines the board Glands three Democrats to two Republicans. Chairman Rolth announced the following committees. L.

Harlan and Major C. W. Thomas. Salary and O. W.

Thomas and J. L. Harlan. C. Ewert and R.

Gibson. Rules and J. Gibson and F. C. Ewert.

It was tile expectation that the teachers for the next term would be selected and much interest was manifested, Init Secretary Dingle reported that UIQ new law does not go into effect until July 1st and the selection of a corps of teachers will not be made until the June meeting. It Is possible that no changes will be made. All the present corns of teachers, high school and have made application lor "reappointnient and there appears to be general satisfaction with present conditions. MEETING OF WOODLAND PHRLOR, X. D. 6. W. to Parlor, Which Is to Convene ia SanU Crni, Elected regular meeting of.

Woodland Parlor, N. D. G. waa held evening. There was a large attendance add more than ordinary Interest, manifested, due to tlie fact that delegates tP the grand parlor were to Be elected.

The election resulted as follows: President Mrs. Nellie Armfleld and Past President Mrs. Mat- Zimmerman, delegates, and Miss Minnie Baker, financial secretary, and Miss Battle' Lee, alternates. Miss Lee has held all the offices in the parlor and served two terms as Grand Trustee and one as president of the board. The Grand Parlor will be held in Santa Cruz and a number of the members of the local parlor will accompany the delegates.
