If you are interested in having a circuit of district fairs In California next year that will be a credit to the state and profitable to the breeders, farmers, fruit growers and other taxpayers of California, call on the state senator or assemblyman of your county and talk the matter over with him, that he may have your views in regard to the matter. There seems to be; a pretty general opinion that the state suould be divided into not more than ten districts, to each of which the legislature should appropriate money to aid an agricultural fair, aud if such a measure can be drawn up it will receive the approval of the legislative bodies, the governor and all concerned. The bill must be thoroughly up to date and in the interest the whole state, and not for any one, section or class.

It is a recognized tact that exhibitions of livestock, agricultural products, fruits, machinery, tend to improve the productions of the district wherein they are held. The state and district fairs of California have done much in the past that has been of vast benefit to our people and added to our wealth. The fact that any fair has been badly managed is not an argument against the fair itself as a beneficiary enterprise. We have too many districts; that is certain, and we believe there will be little objection to- cutting down the number to ten or even less. Now is the time, however, for those interested to begin discussing the proposed measure and a free exchange of views at this time will do no harm.

The Breeder and Sportsman invites correspondence on the subject and will print with pleasure communications bearing on and Sportsman. PHYSICIANS PRESCRIBE IT. Many broad-minded physicians prescribe Foley's Honey and Tar, as they have never found so sate and reliable a remedy for throat and lung troubles as this great medicine. There Is no other cough medicine so popular. Contains no opiates or poisons and never fails to cure coughs and colds.
