Hyatt Plans Drama Series Hyatt Music Theater in Burlingame has announced a new Dramatic Play Scries to begin Feb. 23 with Arlene Dahl in "Blithe Spirit." Others in the series are Joan Fontaine in "Marriage-Go-Round" March Walter Pidgeon in "Take Her, She's Mine" March 23; Louis Nye in "Come Blow Your Horn" April and "Picnic," with Robert Horton on April 20.

Each production will run two weeks. i I Vf 1 7 i CI ii mil mo i i i I NEW YORK Irene Dunne, Broadway singing star of the 1920s and reigning Hollywood queen of the 1930s, has become a cor-porat director in the 1960s. She was named yesterday as the first woman to occupy a board seat at Technicolor, the color film processing company. The appointment marks Miss Dunne's debut in the realm of business, but her work in California charities and politics threw her into association with business men, including top executives at Technicolor. Trio Italiano at State College Ranked as a musical group of "highest international stature," the Trio Italiano de Mexico, will make its San Francisco bow in a pair of free public concerts of the Chamber Music Center series, next Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 3 in the San Francisco State College main auditorium.

The three string players of the group will perform works of Haydn, Beethoven, Franco Margola and Reger. The violinist and cellist of the trio are Italians, the violist is a Mexican, and their activities in Latin America, the United States and Italy began 14 years ago. keels over dead after inhaling a pinch of snuff that has been laced with strychnine. Determined to sniff out the snuff murderer, Miss Marple garbs herself in her own version of a sea-going outfit (tricorne hat, foulard middy blouse and blue serge suit, with antique lapel watch) and boards the Battledore. GODD SHIP The ship's captain, Lionel Jeffries, is forced to evacuate his quarters for his inquisitive visitor.

And from the moment Miss Marple comes aboard the Good Ship Battledore, chaos reigns. Two bodies are discovered (one hanging from the yardarm). And to the chagrin of police inspector Charles Tingwell, Miss Marple insists, rather stubbornly, on her own plan for trapping the killer. It all ends in a fencing match, with Miss Marple as adversary, if you please, dueling for her dear life, just as though she were Er-roll Flynn. Geeorge Pollock's direction is cleverly tongue-in-cheek.

The script by Daniel Purtell and Jack Sheldon is amusing nonsense. And ail hands cooperate expertly, including Jeffries, as the windbag captain, and Stringer Davis, as Miss Marple's doltish chum and sleuthing assistant. "Murder Ahoy 'is utterly relaxing fun. And Miss Rutherford, as always, is a witty and winsome clown. AUDITIONS for 'YEOMEN ef the GUARD' TONIGHT 7:00 1:00 P.M.
