"Shark" 3E McHale's Navy RADIO KNBR is now in the first day of a three-day musical molting period casting out old sounds as it prepares for new ones.

The transition attraction is a continuing go-round of million seller records (1935 through 1964) billboarded as ''Cavalcade of Stars." Hear them now or possibly never again. There's a funny bit on all late show commercials, and a takeoff on "The Man From TJ.N.C.L.E." with Bob and sexy Carroll Baker. Also, young Jack Jones sings and twists with Bob, and the Louis Prima group goes mad with songs like "That Old Black Magic." (8:30 p.m., channels 4-3-4R-6-7R-8-24.) "Forgotten Men." The Interesting fact about the "Forgotten Men" of the title is that they were not forgotten. FDR swung into action back in that cold, cold winter of 1933, and got his national relief program rolling. Post-depression generations have heard of the WPA, the CCC, and the host of initialed agencies, but tonight's documentary gives them a glimpse of what they meant to the dignity and hope of a despairing people. Answer: Yes, but that does not necessarily rule out dullards, or even morons. On the basis of I.Q. scores, a moron may be only one or two points below a person rated at normal; hence he may also be a considerably better motorist. In fact some authorities suggest that a high-grade moron is an ideal driver. Brilliant people are frequently unsafe drivers because they find it difficult to keep their minds on what they are doing.

Are well-adjusted people a popular lot? Answer: Not necessarily. A popular individual with a wide circle of friends is well-adjusted socially, but he may have more than his share of emotional difficulties. In fact his popularity may be due to a compulsive need EVANGELINE BAKER Minute maid an Hour only unui Monday. He tends to be non-introspective, Is afraid of his own emotions, and somewhat repelled by the spontaneous feelings of other people.

Hence his friendships are not likely to be close and warm. Should parents put up with stuttering? Answer: Yes! The underlying cause of stuttering is related to parental anxiety and their overanxious efforts at correction. In learning to speak, every child goes through a hesitant period of trial and error. If parents become alarmed over his stammering, they tend to complicate the problem by impatient corrections. When a youngster is listened to without interruption, his hesitant way of speaking soon passes off.
