He was 73 He was president of the Original 16 to 1 mine, one of the oldest of the Mother Lode gold mines still operating. He also was president for many years of the Cypress Lawn Cemetery Association. A native of Rhode Island, Mr. Lewis was graduated from Stanford University in 1906.
