i HA LA Charles L. Moore who re signed as county district attorney last year to avoid trial for misconduct in office, may return to the city as a Catholic priest, it was learned today, Moore's intentions to enter the priesthood were made known by Monsignor J. M. Phe-Ian, pastor of St. Joseph's Church in nearby Capitola, who said that the 30 year old ex-district attorney came to him for advice shortly after Easter Sunday of this year.

Moore was subsequently baptized in the Roman Catho lic faith at Old St. Mary's Church in San Francisco and confirmed at St. John's Cathe dral in Fresno. Monsignor Phelan said that Bishop Aloysius J. Wil- Iinger, of Fresno, had accepted Moore as i candidate for the priesthood.

He added that Moore is now studying Latin somewhere in the Fresno area and plans to enter a seminary in the fall. The young district attorney resigned in January, 1956, after his "chief vice consult ant," Raymond Jehl, was sent to San Quentin for bribery and extortion charges and as he was due to be tried for removal from office. Injured Woman Cycb'st Files Suit The woman motorcyclist who lost her left leg as the result of a hit-run accident 12 days ago, filed a $200,000 damage suit against the driver, Richard Irvine, 20, of 183 Arleta St. Georgia Margaret Becker, the 26 year old cycling Sacra mento drug store clerk, charged in her complaint that Irvine cut in front of her on the Coast Highway a half mile south of the Skyline inter section, and then sped off without stopping to offer aid. Irvine, who pleaded not guilty last Saturday to the charge of felony hit-run, will appear in South San Francisco Municipal Court tomorrow for preliminary hearing.

Plane Theft 'Grounded1 Marin Men Can't Fly It, Flee Three unidentified young men stole a single-engine private plane at the Novato air port last night, began taxiing down the runway but never got off the ground. Their short-lived "flight" ended abruptly when the plane veered into some soft dirt and stuck. The men fled.
