The only potentially dynamic local show listed for starters is a two-hour Sunday night (9 to 11 o'clock) talk-in-interview show hosted by lawyer Melvin Belli. He plans to pretape his first show on March 23. The subject will be Vietnam. The tentative guest list includes four Pentagon officers, Pamela Mason and Mort Sahl. The pivotal 9 to 11 o'clock time on Saturday nights will be filled by the Irv Kupcinet interview show taped in Chicago.

Every week day from 3:30 to 6 p.m., KEMO will televise cartoons for kiddies with Stan Wilson serving as on-camera coordinator, entertainer and soother of frayed nerves. OH, YES, NEWS. Every TV station, even in its first year, is entitled to try for a Pulitzer Prize or a Peabody Award. KEMO-TV will sit this first round out, according to manager Lawrence M. "Larry" Turet, a peppery, confident, fast-talking, little mid-Westerner who learned his competitive trade on stations in Milwaukee (WVTV and WITI-TV) and Chicago WFLD) Turet's plan, lie said at his studio yesterday, is to run a one-man news department.

KEMO-TV, Channel 20, is owned by USC (United States Communications), a subsidiary of AVC (American Viscose an industrial titan identified now or in the past with Chemstrand, Monsanto, etc. Turet said that AVC, in search of investment diversification, is pumping $27 million into six ultra high frequency television properties.

One, WPHL, Philadelphia, has been on the air for two years. Others will be constructed this year and next in Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Atlanta and Houston. He'll press the San Francisco button on April Fool's Day.
