Merryman, former executive vice president and general manager of. the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce who died Sunday in his Atherton home of a heart attack. He was 55 years old. Mr.

Merryman, in recent years a peninsula realty broker, retired in 1951 with the onset of a heart ailment. He was born in Lincoln, and studied at Stanford, the University of California, Stanford Law School and San Francisco Law College. Surviving are his wife, Alice and four children, William, Peter, Martha and Alice, all of the family home at 83 Wilburn Atherton, and his mother, Mrs. Bert Pettengill, of Eureka. Services today will be held at 11 a.

Herold, San Francisco musician, died yesterday in St. Francis Hospital. He was 62. Mr. Herold, a native of San Francisco, lived at 30 Piedmont Road, Larkspur.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p. m. tomorrow at Julius, S. Godeau Mortuary, 41 Van Ness Avenue. Inurnment will be at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park.

Mr. Herold was a member of Musicians Union, Local No. 6, and the West of Twin Peaks Post, American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Harriet, and two sisters, Mrs. Edna Martin and Mrs.
