During the 1920s, "Doctor Gray was a member of tho National Board of Motion Picture Review and the National Committee for Better Films. In 1929 and 1930 he served in London as director of the American Universities of Europe. Many of Doctor Gray's orig inal plays were produced at Stanford. He retired from active teaching in 1939, Doctor Gray, a founder of the Palo Alto Unitarian Church, lived at 612 Alvarado Row on the Stanford campus. He is survived by his widow.
