THESE SHEATHS seem to grow more and more relentless in demanding smooth perfection. And daytime dresses are so slim and straight of skirt that they, too, permit of little more deviation from perfection than evening gowns.

All of which has made it necessary for corset designers to keep on their toes to provide the market and womankind with foundation garments as guiltless as possible of even slightest bumpiness. OF COURSE, an important trick in good dressing nowadays is to get along with the least possible number of garments beneath the dress. Recognizing this, one of the newest foundation garments to put in its bow is an all-in-one designed not only to do the work of the cor-selette and do it well but to take the place of the other undergarments necessary beneath the dress. DO I HEAR you say, "But that's not No, the idea of the eorselette and panties combination has been tried before, and met with success in the days when skirts were full enough not to show the bulge made, by the little panty ruffle which was then used around anything else to give glamour and charm. For bigger and better eyebrows, let there be no wild plucking, and when it comes to shaping them, take a lesson from Hollywood and forget stereotyped your natural eyebrows grow, and groom them to harmonize with the shape and expression of your eyes.

With this goal in mind, an eyebrow brush mascara for darkening the color and a good eye for line are all you need to look really different. EYES, BROWS and lashes must all come in for their share of care. Preserve the natural beauty of your eyes by rest, eye exercises and faithful bathing night and morning with mild salt water, boraclc acid solution or a good eye tonic Then learn to heighton their beauty with a touch of art. This is in bad taste if badly done, but charming and exciting when well done. If the lashes are light or scanty, a touch of mascara makes them appear longer and the eyes surprisingly larger and brighter.

And mascara no longer inclines to come off. To remove the cosmetic, close the eyes tightly, wash gently with soap and water and finish with a dash of cold water. IT IS ESPECIALLY emphasized, with reference to one brand of eye mascara, which I have in mind, that it has been accepted by the highest authorities and proven utterly harmless. The daily brushing its application requires is said to be decidedly beneficial to brows and lashes, for it keeps them soft, andj silky and the oils contained in it stimulate growth. It is made in three shades brown, black; and blue and comes in a smart gold and scarlet vanity in which a dainty brush also is enclosed.

The- blue I have seen used in a way that proved especially exciting. It gives a blue radiance when used on blue eyes and with a bit of blue eyeshadow, that is most effective. SK BUT HERE IS the real news about these garments which are corselette-and-panty in one: Not only has the panty ruffle been entirely eliminated, but the garment is designed to smooth out those flesh bulges which so oftn show where the corset ends. This is done by means of an inner foundation of batiste with its technical features for figure control concealed by front and back panels of satin, crepe de Chine, glove silk or lace. Side panels of lastex give the desired suppleness to allow freedom of movement. SO THE BATISTE which is in some models boned across the ab-domin does all the heavy work of controlling, and the outer panels smooth everything out and take the place of panties even better than panties themselves. For the edges of the garment are finished off so smoothly that there is nothing to cause the faintest tell-tale ridge under i the closest fitting dress.

With such a garment it is not necessary to wear a slip, except, of course with those diaphanous gowns, which are built over their own slips. -r -K Beautify Your Lashes this SAFE way Macaroni Salad Bread Butter spring sewing guide, offering stunning models for all occasions for grown-ups, juniors and youngsters, and for the woman who needs slenderizing lines. ANSWER: This growth that has developed on your cheek is apparently a basal cell epithelioma. It is a form of skin cancer that does not set up secondary growths. It extends locally and destroys tissue as it grows. Judging from your description, we would believe that this growth is easily curable. It can be treated in several ways and we will tell you of one of the standard methods: With a local anesthetic, by means of novocain, the growth may be removed with a sharp curette.

Following this, the base and borders should be destroyed thoroughly either by an electric current desiccation or by cautery. This heals and leaves a scar which is usually not very prominent It is very important that this growth be treated as soon as possible. If allowed to go on it may Invade and destroy the eye. It would then be incurable. If taken in time, it can be cured.
