Mlsa Edna Taylor has already been Introduced to society and the coming-out ball of Miss Mary Martin will be given at the home of her grandmother, Mrs. Eleanor Martin, on October 13. It will be the first time In number of years that the Martin home In Broadway has been the poena of a large ball, although It Is Ideally suited to such an affair with largo rooms which can be thrown together for dancing.

Miss Martin inherits much of the beauty of her mother, who as Miss Mary Scott was one of the most beautiful young girts in San Francisco at the time of her debut about a score of years ago. She has blonde curly hair and blue eyes and a decided charm of manner. With the large number of coming-out parties to be given this season there are also a number of small affairs given for the young girls who will make their bow to society this season.
