'12 FITCHBURG FRIDAY, DECEMBER 9, 1966 High-Speed Driver Blamed For 2 Mishaps A high-speed motorist was blamed for 11 cement guard posts being knocked over by a trailer-truck and automobile shortly before m. Thursday on Rte. 2A, near Snow Mill Pond. Judith A. Taft, 21, of Otter River Road, Templetoa, told po lice the was traveling ia I westerly direction when she observed a vehicle approaching in the opposite direction at a high rate of speeod.

She pulled to the side to avert a crash, struck and knocked over nine cement guard posts. Damage to her car was estimated at John Cosentino, 34, of 139 Marquette Gardner, driver 61 the truck, stated he was following the Taft machine and observed the car heading easterly. He applied his brakes and the unidentified vehicle struck his left tire and continued without stopping. Costentino said after the impact the trailer jackknifed and the rear wheels ended over an embankment after knocking over two cement guard posts. According to the report of Pt Miller, investigating officer Camy said he was following car that stopped fast and avoid a rear end collision, he pu on his brakes' and swerved, skid ding into the pole. Kuniholm son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry C. Kuniholm of 186 Elm has been assigned to the American Embassy'in Damascus, Syria, by the State Department.

He will serve in the Economic Sec tion of the Embassy with tfie rank of Second Secretary. Mr. Kuniholm, his wife and three children, returned to the United States recently aboard the S. S. Constitution from Spain after a two-year assignment in Casablanca, Morocco where Mr.
