Trinity Circle Completes Plans For Picnic July 16 Plans were recently completed for" the social gathering of Trinity circle, Daughters of Isabella, Monday evening, July 16, at Cedar Point. Members are to leave for the resort on the 6 o'clock boat and supper, served cafeteria style, will be held in the picnic grounds. Games of cards will be played, starting at 8 o'clock, at Hotel Breakers. No reservations are necessary and all members have been invited to attend. In charge of arrangements, with Mrs.

Paul Werner, Mrs Philip Nemitz, and Miss Gather ine Martin. Topping It Off Robert Lehrer Gets Ensign Commission Midshipman Robert N. Lehrer, ron of Dr. and Mrs. H.

W. Lehrer. 1015 Washington st, was among B65 men commissioned as Ensigns, United States Naval Reserve, in ceremonies held in the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine, New York City. The group was the Iwenty-fourth class to be graduated from the oldest and largest Naval Reserve Officer Training School, and brings the total number of graduates, from the training center to approximately 22,000. Principal speaker at the ceremony was Rear Admiral, Monroe Kelly, USN.

Commandant, Third District. The officer's oath was administered by Commodore John K. Richards, USN, Commander, U. S. Naval Reserve Officer Training Center, New York City.

4-H Club News PLUM BROOK SEWIN 1 SOPHIES The Plum Brook Sewin' Sophies 4-H club of Perkins met recently at the home of Phyllis Brunow, The president opened the meeting by having the club recite the club pledge. Seven members and the advisers answered the roll call by giving the name favorite dance band leader. Edith Speir, adviser, assigned a demonstration Petal Complexion" Brunow to be given at the next meeting. Rosemary Hill gave a demonstration "The Correct Method to Sew on Buttons and Snaps." The members worked on their books and projects with the help of the advisers. Games were played and awards went to Rosemary and Elnora Hill.

Following refreshments the club adjourned to mpet July 17, at the home of Elnora Hill. STATE PURCHASES LIQUOR COLUMBUS. July 6 1UP) Liquor Director Robert M. Sohngen said today that the state has purchased more than 10 million dollars worth of whisky and other liquors for sale during the next six months from National Distil (Jers Products Corp. Sohngen said the purchase, one of the largest in recent years, was made possible by the release of stocks following the declaration of the July holiday to allow manufacture of beverage alcohol The state bought $7,575,565 worth of worth of gin and $92,056 worth of rum from National.

She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and also a mem ber of the Auxiliary of the Knights of St. John and the Altar Society. Funeral services will be at St- Paul's Catholic Church Saturday at 10:30 a. m.

Mihicl was rammed by the tanker Nashbuck April 10 while traveling in convoy a few hundred miles off the East Coast, the Navy said. Director Herald Monroe of Cleveland reports OSG AT CAMP PERRY FREMONT, July 6 The Second Infantry Regiment of the Ohio State GuardTeTT Fremont for Camp Perry early today, following an overnight bivouac at Sandusky-co fairgrounds. The regiment, 51 commissioned officers and 678 enlisted men, arrived last night from Camp Light, Vinton-co, in a convoy of 90 vehicles. Composed of central and southern Ohio men, the regiment will complete training on the Camp Perry rifle ranges.

ROSE KRAMER NORWALK, July Rose Kramer, 847" died at her home north of the city. She was the widow of Frank Kramer, who died in 1924. Surviving are the sons, Frank, Charles and August, all of Norwalk; two daughters, Louise Wyckoff of Milan, and Rose Fisher of Norwalk; 12 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; a sister, Louise Ackerman of Milan, and a brother, Henry Sattig of Norwalk. Hopkins, for 12 years a key government figure and Presiden tial adviser, today stepped into a new diplomatic impartial chairman of the New York women's coat-and-suit industry. His appointment to the post was announced by David Dubinsky, president of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, said Hopkins would assume his new duties after a few weeks' rest. Hopkins will preside over labor- management contracts, arbitrate disputes, settle industrial problems and generally promote harmony in the gigantic industry.

Dellifield, 52, prominent Henrietta farmer, who died Thursday evening at Allen Hospital, Oberlin. REPORT BOTH MISSING LONDON, July 6 (UP) Wherever Mark Ames goes his squirrel is sure to both of them were listed as AWOL from the Lebanon honor camp today.

Ames, who was sent to the London Prison Farm from Ohio State Penitentiary in 1937 where he was serving a life sentence for second degree murder, walked away from the farm yesterday.
