A. Crombie McNeill, managing director of a local camera concern, his pretty, blonde wife, Madeline, and their 15- year-old son, Crombie "starred" in a CBC documentary ResEa month. Worthy of the most elaborate Hollywood scenario, the cast also included an "extra," enthusiastically played by Prince--the family Dalmatian. Entitled "The Silver Chain," the film will be seen by TV.

viewers the program, "Here And There," September 30. The McNeills were cast as Canadian boating enthusiasts intent on increasing their knowledge of Canadiana, a role that wasn't entirely fictitious. Although they had cruised down the Rideau many times on pleasure jaunts, many of the historic landmarks depict- TV Celebrities -The McNeill family, who will appear before television foot-lights next month, are seen here on the deck of their yacht--the Co-Ed. on the stern lines, the McNeills' 40-foot, double cabin cruiser, Co-Ed, set sail from Rideau Falls. The Co-Ed and the yacht containing CBC cameramen, following in its wake, were equipped with a walkietalkie inter communication system. Passing through 49 bridges and locks, the cruiser dropped, anchor at Portland and Perth for brief sight-seeing tours. An overland "portage" also took the McNeills to the Anglican Christ Church at Burritts Rapids. Built in 1831, Christ Church is the oldest original church in the Ottawa district.

At Nicholsons Lock, the McNeills wandered through one of the earliest cemeteries in Ontario-the burial site of the first drowning victim of the canal system, dating back to the early 19th century. Fort Henry The cruise reached its climax during the three days spent filming Fort Henry at Kingston. There the McNeills toured the leather and tailor shops where authentic, early-model tools are still used by the craftsmen. A by the fife and band was highlightparade, ed by the appearance of their mascot, David a white goat. As the band marched by, David solemnly took the salute with a dignified bow.

A dynamics engineer in Montreal, Miss Kimball attributes her success to her childhood love of arithmetic.

"I think I was lucky enough to have a wonderful a teacher in grade school who taught me to think of mathematics as fascinating instead of hard," said the attractive mathematician. Miss Kimball, who looks like a typical college girl, added that her work at a Montreal aircraft plant is theoretical, and explained that she works mostly on paper doing mathematical calculations to check the design before the work reaches the experimental stage. Being one of two women among 800 men doing engineering work at the plant doesn't bother Miss Kimball. She says she's used to finding herself in a female minority. Jobs Plentiful When she graduated last year she had no trouble finding a job "in the man's world." is such a shortage of mathematicians and engineers that providing you have the training, no employer worries too much about your sex.

Miss Kimball, who came to Canada to see what the country was like, said "One thing I like about the job is the great variety in the problems we do. "I knew nothing about airplanes when I started but it's a field I want to stay in." The wedding dinner was held at the home of the bride's parents, followed by an evening reception in Horton Hall. For travelling Mrs.

Holmes wore an aqua ensemble with a large picture hat and black accessories. Her corsage bouquet was of gardenias. Mr. and Mrs. Holmes will make their home in Ottawa.
