$429, for yvJ MODERN 3-PCE. CURVED SECTIONAL PEMBROKE (Special) A coroncrs jury here Thursday night ruled that James Roney, 22, of Micksburg. 15 miles southeast of Pembroke, died in Cottage Hospital last March 27 from head injuries he suffered when he fell to the pavement during a fracas at the Intersection of Pembroke and Mac Kay Streets three days earlier. Roney was struck on the jaw by Han-is Teschner, 20, of Petawawa, after the pair argued about erratic driving on Highway 17. Dr.

E. E. Leipa, a pathologist, naid that Roney died from severe brain injuries. He also had a broken jaw. The jury found that "Roney fell as a result of being struck on the jaw by Harris Teschner, who anticipated a blow from Roney." The report recommended that when events of poor driving occur the persons concerned should notify the police rather than try to settle the matter themselves.

Traffic Argument Teschner said he was returning from Quebec with two friends when a passing car cut sharply in front of them, forcing them on to the shoulder of the road, a short distance east of Pembroke. He tailed the car and tried to get it to stop a couple of times before both vehicles stopped for the traffic lights at the intersection of Pembroke and MacKay Streets. "I got out and asked the driver why he cut me off, but he told me he didn't," Teschner said. "A passenger in the car got out the other side and I asked him the same thing. He told me 'if you want to do something about it, go ahead'.

He raised hit li rnd I thought he was going to take a swing me, so I hit him on the jaw. He slumped to the pavement, bleeding from the mouth, but I didn't think he was badly hurt. I didn't hit him very hard." The five-man jury heard testimony from 11 witnesses. Coroner Dr. D.
