Distance from Ottawa to the epicenter was given as about 100 miles and officials said the first indications were that the epicenter was probably west of the city. Epicenter of the May 7 quake was St. Lin, north of Montreal. terday. She is Rev.

Annalee Stew Gyros Hear A. J. Hazelgrove "It's time for a cleanup in Ottawa," A. J. Hazelgrove, prominent local architect, told members of the Gyro Club last night, "even at the risk of treading on somebody's toes." Mr.

Hazelgrove, who is president of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, spoke at the regular Gyro Club meeting at the Chateau Laurier. He delivered a punch at some "uptown property holders" who he said are not properly maintaining property, whether privately 4 owned or expropriated. "Have we any real civic pride?" he asked, "or do. we epect the Dominion government to provide everything, for us?" He said it was the elementary obligation of everyone concerned to get moving on the Greber plan. The face of Sparks street had been changing but it stops at ground level.

Hobson. The Cast: Phil Green Gregory Peck Kathy Dorothy McGuIre Dave John Garfield Ann? Celeste Holm Mrs. Greene Ann Revere Tommy Dean Stockwell Rating: -Excellent" Those who have called this a "picture of the year" were not wrong. It is a powerful, hardhitting story which bares the snobbishness in all of us on one subject or another. It is the kind cf picture everyone should see at least once a month perhaps more often.

Members of the cast, headed! by Gregory Peck, Dorothy Mc-Guire and John Garfield, must have been born for the parts. Their interpretation of their roles Is magnificent. Anne Revere as "Mrs. Greene" does wonderful woi k. The story deals with a young writer, Gregory Peck, who is assigned to do a series of articles for a magazine cn anti-semitism.

He flounders around trying to get a new "angle" for an old and very controversial subject. Then he decides to tell people he is a Jew, to think and act as one. It works. He gets his story, and he sets very angry, too. at intolerance of any kind.

So will nine out of ten who see it, if they are honest. And if they are honest, they will admit that they have been intolerant of someone's race or religion at one time or another. News and a cartoon complete the bill. B. L.
